How you can help

Our main priority is raising the funds that are essential to keeping the work going.

We are a small organisation and the trustees are all dedicated to fund raising. We do not carry the burden of administrative overheads that so many of the larger charities bear.

See what your funds will buy...

  •   £10 will deworm more than 40 dogs
  •   £25 will provide anti-rabies vaccine for 25 dogs
  •   £50 will provide suture materials for 20 dog spaying operations
  •   £100 will provide anaesthetic for 130 operations

Fund Raisers

Fund raising can take many forms and here are just a few suggestions:

  • Easiest of all - simply register with easyfundraising then, each time you buy on-line from 3000+ high street stores, supermarkets, travel companies, insurers, etc, they make a small donation to HAT(UK).
All at absolutely no cost to yourself!
  • Take part in a personal challenge. We are registered with Virgin Money Giving and can help you set up your personal page
  • Sell home made produce at fairs
  • Give talks to local groups who are interested in something out of the ordinary
  • Convert a birthday or other special occasion into a 'Kindness to Animals' opportunity with all gifts going to HAT(UK)
  • Encourage your children to get involved with car washing, dog walking, sponsored silences and toy sales

All fund raisers will be acknowledged on the website if they are willing.

Corporate Support

Work on animal welfare in Nepal is a clear cut objective which lends itself to corporate sponsorship. It is possible to measure the impact of company involvement in specific programmes and to demonstrate to staff and shareholders how many animals their effort has helped and in what way.

By adopting HAT(UK) as their charity, companies can become involved in a friendly and dynamic relationship in which they have genuine influence.

Donated Supplies

HAT(UK) is grateful for donations of veterinary supplies and equipment, particularly diagnostic equipment, which can be passed on to Nepal.

Please contact Barbara Webb for details of current shortages.

Travellers

There is a continual problem in moving donated supplies from the UK to Nepal.

There is no effective postal service and couriers cost more than the value of the materials they carry.

We therefore welcome any groups or individuals who travel to Nepal and who have a few spare kilos in their luggage and are willing to carry supplies to contact Barbara Webb
